An intelligence report by the Federal Government revealed that the two heads of the Sinaloa Cartel, Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada and Rafael Caro Quintero, are responsible for the division of the Cartel Jalisco new Generation(CJNG) .
The information contained in the classified document, which was published in ‘El Universal’, mentioned that the two capos planned to financially support the mobility and operations of the leaders of the new groups that were created that detract from Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes ‘El Mencho’ .
Apparently the plan devised by both ‘El Mayo’ and Caro Quintero is paying off, as the authorities say that in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (ZMG), the birthplace of the CJNG, there are sixteen cells that struggle to control the sale of drugs in the nine municipalities that make up the urban area of the capital of Jalisco.
The clearest example was the betrayal of Carlos Enrique Sánchez Martínez, ‘El Cholo’’, former sicario leader for ‘El Mencho’, who murdered Marcos Hernández in 2017, ‘El Kartón’, alleged financial operator of the CJNG in Puerto Vallarta.
This year the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed that the increase in murders in Guadalajara is due to the struggle that the group of Mencho maintains against the so-called ‘Cartel Nueva Plaza’.
The report makes reference that the division began a couple of years ago, when the entity could only buy drugs through narcomenudistas affiliated with CJNG, but has already detected packaging with the names and characteristics of the new cells that are distributing narcotics
Two of the most dominant are ‘Lobo’ and ‘Calavera Lemon’.
Apparently Ismael Zambada and his partners are not willing to allow ‘El Mencho’ to continue its expansion throughout the country, and other cartels are facing him in almost all the entities where the criminal organization of Jalisco is known to operate.
