DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. October 26, 2016, 8:54 AM (IDT)
Israeli police chiefs are recommending the renewal of Knesset Members’ visits to Temple Mount under certain restrictions, a year after Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu imposed a ban in the light of a surge of Palestinian terrorist activity that focused on a purported threat to Al Aqsa. The recommendation to lift the ban has been put before Netanyahu, who imposed it equally for Jewish and Arab lawmakers last November.. According to a TV report, the police wioud attach provisos for such visits: Prior notice ato and scheduling with the police and no bodyguards, media attendance or speeches.
Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
