(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. October 25, 2016, 10:27 AM (IDT)

Almost 60 people were killed and over 100 injured when six gunmen, some with bomb vests, stormed a police training center in the city of Quetta, Pakistan, taking hundreds of cadets hostage. An Islamic State terrorist affiliate claimed responsibility for the attack. After a three-hour standoff, Pakistani military commandos managed to rescue over 200 hostages, according to local media reports.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
