DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. February 23, 2017, 1:34 PM (IDT)

Speaking on Wednesday at a conference in Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged Arab countries not to sign peace agreements with Israel. Rouhani claimed that Arab states, located close to or far from Israel, should not adopt the position that Israel and Zionism are not the enemy of most Muslim countries. He also claimed that the Palestinian issue is the most critical one in the Muslim world. The Iranian president made the speech during the closing ceremony of the two-day “Sixth International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada”. The conference was attended by representatives from dozens of countries and from the Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hizballah terrorist organizations, as well as a group of anti-Zionist ultra-Orthodox Jews.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
