DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. February 28, 2017, 1:09 PM (IDT)

Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Tuesday that relations with the United States were at their lowest ebb since the Cold War, but hoped they could improve under US President Donald Trump. Russia had not asked him to lift the sanctions imposed by Barack Obama, he said, but that step would ease the improvement of dialogue between the two countries.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
