(Before It's News)

DEBKAfile was founded by a team of journalists in June 2000 as an independent Internet Web site, providing an intelligence and security news service. March 15, 2017, 3:30 PM (IDT)

One of the IDF’s unmanned aerial vehicles, apparently a Skylark, crashed Wednesday in the area of the Gazan neighborhood of Sajaiya, according to Arab sources and reports on Gazan social networks. The IDF Spokesman’s Office said that the topic is being examined but did not elaborate further. DEBKAfile’s intelligence and military sources said the Skylark drone, manufactured by Israel’s Elbit Systems and primarily used by the IDF Artillery Corps, is intended to supply visual intelligence for battalions and brigades of the ground forces.

Our unique angle on these subjects – and strong intelligence dimension – has earned DEBKAfile a global reputation and a steady readership – which skyrockets in times of crisis.
