One version of the story, is that the IDF had captured 5000 Egyptian Soldiers, and did not have time to deal them, so they bombed the prison camp, killing everyone.. and they suspected that the NSA Listening post in the ccmpartment that was struck by the first torpedo, where the NSA signal guys were, who may have recorded the pilot chatter as they bombed and strafed 5000 Egyptian prisoners.
