We are proud to announce that The Catholic University of America is now home to a bright and new Young Americans for Liberty chapter! We have the pleasure of spreading liberty to another campus in the D.C. area and are excited to get the ball rolling.
Friends of liberty are never too far, and here at CUA, it didn’t take long to find like minded individuals who share the love of liberty to stand up for YAL on our campus. So far, we are few in numbers, but we have to start somewhere, and this ‘somewhere’ is a great place to be. Many students are curious and eager to join the cause. It’s only a matter of time before the clipboards bear new names and our meetings hold new members. We are currently waiting on becoming recognized by our school, for we must be patient for the application window of new campus organizations. The window is in October, which is right around the corner, so it is it is nearly impossible to bottle our excitement. In the meantime, we are excited to reach out to students who are eager to learn more about the ideas of limited government, peace, and personal freedom.
What better way to kick start our chapter than showing the Deep Web? The timing could not have been better. Such a film as this stirs the minds of us friends of liberty, and also gives us a bit of a rush to gain momentum. We are grateful to have the opportunity to not only enjoy the film, but also to have the enjoyment from establishing a chapter belonging to one of the loudest voices in defense of liberty.
We can’t wait to work with YAL and its members. New friendships are to be made, and experiences to have. I personally can’t wait to see how it all unfolds!
