On Thursday, November 29, the Frostburg State University chapter of Young Americans for Liberty kicked off its first activism event with the screening of the documentary Deep Web. This film explored the search and arrest of Ross Ulbricht for his participation in operating the virtual black market website Silk Road, and how the government may have violated his rights in the process.

The event was successful, with members and new guests alike coming to watch the movie. When the movie ended, two people decided to join our new YAL chapter at FSU. After a conversation with the president of the College Republicans on campus, more activism events like this viewing are likely for our YAL chapter!
