(Before It's News)

On the evening of September 27th Temple University's YAL chapter participated in the national campus debut of the Deep Web documentary. This amazing documentary explores the role of the government in the digital age. Our chapter took this as an opportunity to hang out with each other and get to know one another outside of the usual meeting space.

We decided to meet up at our chapter president's apartment for pizza and popcorn. We really enjoyed watching the documentary and tweeting our questions to be answered by Lyn Ulbricht and Alex Winter! Once the Q&A was over, we had an informal group discussion/debate about how we felt about the issues raised in the documentary. We were all so inspired by the documentary we are now working to perform an activism event on this topic later in the semester. We all had a lot of fun and are excited for our upcoming events!
