(Before It's News)

The Young Americans for Liberty at SUNY Cortland hosted two successful events our first week as a club: a debate watch party and a screening of Deep Web.  Both were wildly successful and attracted a nice crowd! The debate watch party had over 90 people in attendance. Our school's President and his wife even made a cameo! It was very nice to see students taking such an interest in politics no matter who they were rooting for.

The screening of Deep Web and the Q&A with Lyn Ulbricht was an interesting watch. It was very thought provoking and brought out many new students to check out YAL. Many people who just attended the event to cover a class requirement ended up having interest in YAL and the group had a quality discussion about liberty, and many of the themes present in the movie.

The SUNY Cortland chapter of YAL is continuously growing and we are excited to see what the future holds for us!
