About a month ago, WSU-Vancouver held an involvement fair. At this fair, there were many different student organizations, whether on or off campus, that were represented. I was able to represent Young Americans for Liberty. I was approached by interested students who inquired about what the organization was and what we stood for. Most of the students who I talked to were receptive to the message of looking beyond partisan politics and the question of what role the government should play in our lives. The YAL bottle openers were snatched up rather quickly, and unsurprisingly the pocket Constitutions were also a big hit. All in all, I was able to get 8 e-mail addresses, with about 3 or 4 hard commitments. I have been able to sign up two dues-paying members, so we are well on our way to getting active and advocating for liberty. The next steps will include getting recognized by the school, setting up a meeting date, and then getting an even going that will promote liberty.
