Charlie here. Are you native American?? Did you read the follow up story about the pipeline? They met with them over 300 times, I think, and agreed to everything. Then when they laid the pipeline, as agreed, they started to protest and grumble.
Methinks liberals or the left got into the Indians and sabotaged them. I don’t trust liberals or the left.
And yes, it is correct. It’s what the MSM is NOT telling you that is more important. It’s like the fine print in a contract. I always tell people look for the smallest type and read that first.

There is an interesting aspect to these pipeline protests. Many of those people protesting have been there for a long time. They clearly don’t have jobs to go to on the weekdays. Technically, the Native Americans living on the reservations are living off of our tax dollars. That means that you and I are paying for their protest, Pinky, but the casinos are another side of the coin altogether.
I’ve been in that area and I know from experience that if you roll through the “rez” to get gas… lock your doors when you go into the gas station to pay. Many of them feel like their land was stolen from them by the white man, and you definitely get weird looks when you are white on their reservations. Especially Pine Ridge.
My job frequently brings me through these reservations. 95% of the natives are good people, but there is some strange stuff going on there. There are people selling the copper plumbing pipes from their homes to buy booze, houses that use a rug hung in place of a door in -20 degrees in the winter, etc. (Use your imagination)
Many of them are bitter and I don’t blame them for that. Some of them in certain areas are richer than white folk could ever imagine to be because of the casinos they run. I once met a gay guy at a music festival that hitchhiked there. He asked me and my gal at the time for a ride home. It was on our way so we brought him there. When we got him home he invited us in and his whole family (all Native American, obviously) were the most respectful and kind people on the planet. They invited us into their home and there were about 20 of them there. They cooked the best chili I had ever eaten in my life, and they were all completely accepting of the gayness of their family member. Despite us being white, they were very cordial and kind, and for bringing his nephew home, his uncle gave us an ounce of strawberry kush.
