U.S Army Begins Transgender Sensitivity Training, Including Protocols for Male Soldiers Becoming Pregnant

The U.S army has begun mandatory ‘transgender’ sensitivity training for soldiers, officers and civilian staff. On Tuesday, the army debuted the program by introducing it to officers, non-commissioned officers, and civilians working in the Army.

The training covers etiquette on showering with ‘transgender’ people, as well as guidelines in regards to ‘transgender male’ soldiers becoming pregnant. 

“The training module specifically outlines key roles and responsibilities of commanders, transgender soldiers, military medical providers and administrative management organizations,” Lt. Col. Jennifer Johnson, an Army spokeswoman said in an email to USA Today. “This training is mandatory for all uniformed members, as well as Department of the Army civilians.”

Under the specifications of the program, females who enlist in the military will have to share a shower with biological males who identify as female (and vice-versa), even those who have not undergone ‘sexual reassignment surgery.’  The program also mandates that no facilities will be modified to include areas exclusively for ‘transgender’ people. “Accommodations cannot isolate or stigmatize the TG soldier,” the guidelines state.

The guidelines include a training module, which outlines a hypothetical scenario in which a ‘female-to-male transexual’ becomes pregnant:

“The soldier did not have sex-reassignment surgery, and recently stopped taking male hormones in order to try and start a family. Today, the Soldier approached his commanding officer to discuss his newly confirmed pregnancy.”

“Transgender Soldiers with a medical condition, including pregnancy, will be treated the same as any other Soldier with that condition,” the module states.
