Obama Setting Traps For Single Payer Healthcare

Just because Barack Obama’s signature healthcare plan is raising costs and destroying the nation’s job market, don’t presume to call it a failure. The White House ensconced left certainly doesn’t.  This weeks decision by the Affordable Care Act’s principle PR specialist to delay enforcement of the employer mandate will accomplish what the NFL, NBA and even the nation’s librarians could or would not–it will force people to sign up for an overpriced, government mandated product at otherwise under-used ObamaCare exchanges wherever they are actually up and running. In short, Barack has figured out a way to have the country’s employers create God knows how many customers for his “enslave the nation” scheme without having to spend one dime on TV ads by high-priced sports talent.

The employer mandate required businesses with over 50 full time employees to provide government approved healthcare to workers or face heavy fines. The mandate was to commence on January 1st of 2014, but has been postponed by the kind and compassionate Barack due to “the complexity of the undertaking.”

HOWEVER, the individual mandate is still in effect. So if by Jan 1st your employer has not insured you, or will no longer be insuring you thanks to the expense and fear of still undiscovered pitfalls associated with the Affordable Care Act, you will have to do it both for yourself and for any dependents.  Such folks will either enroll with an ObamaCare exchange or face paying a penalty of $95 in 2014; $325 in 2015 and $695 in 2016. (The penalty is halved for dependents under 18.)

“I hope the administration recognizes the need to release American families from the mandates of this law…” said John Boehner as he maintained that delaying the employer mandate was “…a clear acknowledgment that the law is unworkable, and … underscores the need [for] repeal…”

As usual, the House Speaker and other Republican critics are way late to the party. ObamaCare has never been about providing healthcare and as a result, the workability of the law is a matter of no importance. The increasingly UN-Affordable Care Act was rammed thru Congress at light speed and its contents kept a state secret because it was ALWAYS unworkable as a vehicle for the transmission of healthcare. But as a method of universal crowd control by placing the life and well-being of every enrolled American at the mercy of federal death panels in Washington, DC while storing every scrap of personal information on government super computers–at this ObamaCare is in a class by itself.

And Barack has just given the nation’s largest employers one full year in which to cleanse balance sheets of unnecessary expense by dropping employees and dumping them onto ObamaCare exchanges without penalty. It’s the president’s hope that employers will do the job for which he would have had to pay the likes of Kobe Bryant, that is, introduce previously insured employees to the remarkable benefits of the Affordable Care Act!

In short, Barack Obama has just manufactured a one year head start on front-loading the single payer, 100% government-run system he and the rest of the left have spent the past 3 years claiming ObamaCare is not. Add to that the fact that the political disaster of the employer mandate will not have to be explained away by Democrats just prior to the 2014 election and the designation “Deviously Brilliant” is undeniable.
