Statement from Acting OMB Director Mark Sandy:

Budgetary Impact Analysis for Executive Order Entitled
“Enforcing Federal Law with Respect to Transnational Criminal Organizations,
And Preventing International Trafficking”

This executive order directs the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and the Director of National Intelligence to co-chair and direct the existing interagency Threat Mitigation Working Group to support and improve the coordination of Federal agencies’ efforts to combat transnational criminal organizations. Implementing this executive order would have a de minimis impact on costs and revenues to the Federal Government. It would have a de minimis impact on mandatory and discretionary obligations and outlays, as well as on revenues to the Federal Government, in the 5-fiscal year period beginning in fiscal year 2017. The agencies anticipated to be affected by this order include the Departments of State, Justice, and Homeland Security, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the Executive Office of the President.
