Re: 'Doomed Beyond All Hope of Redemption'

As I went to bed last night after the election was called for Barack Obama … a man that ran for a second term on an atrocious record without anything remotely resembling a positive agenda and who did so with a campaign based on mis-truths, distortions, slander and hatred … the last thing I said to myself was that America was now doomed beyond all hope of redemption and that the voters well-deserved what they voted for – Barack Obama’s America – an America of social, military, and economic decline with high unemployment and ever-diminishing prosperity in which its Constitution and the rule of law have little to no meaning to its executive branch of government, an America of takers not givers, an America of European socialism steeped in class and racial divisiveness, where the values and traditions that have made our country the great nation it was before Barack Obama came to office no longer have value, where truth is relative and facts don’t actually matter, where liberal-progressivism drags the country ever-further toward the likes of Greece, and an America in which radical Islam continues its march throughout the Middle East and beyond – completely unabated or restrained.

Then, lo and behold, the very first piece my eyes fall upon this morning just happens to be Robert Stacy McCain’s article titled “Doomed Beyond All Hope of Redemption” at The American Thinker, in which he writes:

[...] What is left to hope for? That the American people will soon regret their choice? That another four years of economic stagnation and escalating debt will cure them of their insane appetite for charismatic liberals? If four years of endless failure have not rid them of this madness, the disease may well be terminal. Perhaps others will still see some cause for hope, and in another few weeks my friends may persuade me to see it, too. But today I will hear no such talk, and I doubt I’ll be in a better mood tomorrow. At the moment, I am convinced America is doomed beyond all hope of redemption, and any talk of the future fills me with dread and horror.

Which brings me to add … Robert Stacy McCain managed to nail my sentiments, exactly!

And as Jim Hoft aptly notes, 11/6/3012 was the day America changed, possibly forever. America was once the land of the free. Now we want to be told what to do. More government is good. We want stuff … and we want the government and the taxpayers to give it to us without working for it.
