Texas Conservatives to Host a “Cardboard Cutout” Townhall Without Senator John Cornyn
WHAT: There will be a “Cardboard Cutout” Constituent Townhall without Senator Cornyn. The Senator was invited to participate in the townhall but will not attend, so activists in the greater Dallas area are holding one anyway with a cardboard cutout in his place. The townhall will be livestreamed at Live.FreedomWorks.org.
WHERE: 13131 North Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75243.
WHEN: Saturday August 17, 2013 from 4:30-5:30pm CT.
WHY: Texas conservatives want to have an open and honest policy conversation about defunding ObamaCare through the continuing resolution, as proposed by Senator Mike Lee’s letter (R-UT). Senator Cornyn signed the Lee Letter but abruptly retracted his signature, and Texas conservatives want a real opportunity to ask him why. To-date, Senator Cornyn has only held censored events over the phone and online.
