A Quirky Product Review: PowerClamp – “Clamps Tight, Shines Bright”

Both my dad and my grandpa were great carpenters.  (Me, not so much.)  And when PowerClamp was launched into Quirky’s concept portfolio, I immediately thought about how much this product could have benefited them and so many others across the country and beyond.  I remember their workspaces having power strips in every corner of the room, clamp lights everywhere, and all sorts of other rigged equipment.  Like those of my dad and grandpa, PowerClamp addresses so many previously unmet needs of do-it-yourselfers, and it’s done efficiently and elegantly.  It can clamp to anything, has a hook for hanging, a bunch of outlets, and yes…a spotlight, too.  So, instead of having a zillion components haphazardly fashioned together, you’ve got all the necessities in one fantastic product.  (Honestly, I could even see this used in college dorms everywhere, right by students’ beds.  And because it clamps, it won’t easily get knocked over when drunkly stumbled into.  #addedvalue)  It’s an incredibly versatile product, period.  It’s just a hunch, but I foresee this product reaching retail space inside of a year.
