When I saw the headline I thought we’d be treated to an article about the 4 slave states in Lincoln’s Union.
And about the fact that Lincoln refused to free slaves in occupied territory until 1863, under pressure from:
(1) the need for military manpower
(2) the need to discourage intervention by England or France on behalf of the Confederacy
(3) the need to maintain the support of abolitionists, led by Cassius Clay
And it would be nice if someone were to mention that Lincoln said during the 1860 campaign and again during his INAUGURAL ADDRESS that he would not fight a war over slavery.
But that he WOULD invade the south and shed blood to collect tariffs.
Which is what the war was about. And which is why England and France considered
intervention on behalf of the South.
Which is why the Union needed the Russian fleet to be stationed here.
I am behind the times I guess. The CURRENT US flag is a flag of slavery, on account of slave labor on behalf of private corporations, in prisons.
But yes, ISIS is an Israel/US/UK invention. Busily attacking Syria and the Shi’ite government of Iraq on our behalf.
