Saddleback College Teacher Tears Down 9-11 Posters

When students at Saddleback College in Orange County, California put up 9-11 memorial posters, that didn’t sit well with Professor Margot Lovett, who is chair of the history department. She went around and tore down the posters. Young Americans for Freedom students videotaped her.

“I don’t want to fight any more wars,” she said. “The international community must respond to what happened, but there can be no war.”

OK, OK. That is her right. She can think whatever she wants about 9-11 and she has the Constitutional right to express it just as she has the right to walk around with purple hair. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.)

But seriously now; even if the students didn’t get the required approval to put up the posters, why would a professor take it upon herself to remove them?
