A Request for Prayer

The forecast for Hurricane Matthew is looking pretty grim for the State of Florida. Widespread destruction is expected. Some here are beginning to panic and it has now become mostly impossible to evacuate. MANY gas stations here in Jacksonville are out of fuel due to locals topping off ahead of their evacuation. Routes to the North and West are filled with people who aren’t getting anywhere fast. A drive to the next town North that normally takes 20 minutes now takes 4 Hours.

I will not be attempting to evacuate. There is no point in trying. My safety and security is in the hands of Almighty God in fair and foul weather. I request prayers for all those who are in the path of this storm along the East Coast. Though the destruction in the Caribbean looks great, Jamaica, Cuba and Haiti were spared a direct hit and the loss of life has been astonishingly low. May God continue to show his Mercy on those of us who are still in its path. I will praise him in the midst of this storm.
