Holland is a crazy place. When not euthanizing the elderly (with or without their knowledge and approval), running pot cafes, and running government approved red light districts, they also make a habit of prosecuting their politicians. Well, maybe just one of their politicians – Geete Wilders – who is set to go on trial for hate speech on October 31, 2016 Reuters.
Geete Wilders is one of a rare breed of politicians that recognizes the threat of islam and wants to deal with it in Holland. Because of that rational stance, Wilders, though hated by the elites, is popular with the people of Holland. His Freedom Party is running neck and neck with the ruling opposition conservative VVD Party, and is expected to do well in the coming March 2017 elections. However that expectation will, doubtless, be affected by the outcome of Wilders’ October trial.
Wilders current legal problems stem from a 2014 rally where Wilders asked supporters whether they wanted fewer or more Moroccans their city and nation. After the crowd responded “Fewer, Fewer,” Wilders said his party would organize that.
Apparently Dutch prosecutors are characterizing that incident as hate speech. In pre-trial motions, Wilders’ attorneys tried to get the court to dismiss the hate speech charges as politically motivated – which they sure seem too be. The court denied that request, and set a trial date of October 31, 2016.
Below is a YouTube video with English subtitles of Wilders’ opening statement in his hate speech trial (transcript HERE). It is compelling, and truly clarifies how shameful it is what the Dutch are doing to this man. Geete Wilders’ prosecution is a modern day Salem Witch Trial, progressive wet dream, and harbinger of what might all too easily be heading our way.
