Sadly, actions mimicking San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick keep spreading. But there is opposition.
At a recent 49er’s game, as Kaepernick took a knee, a fan let his displeasure with him show as the National Anthem played.
Also, after some members of the East Carolina University Marching Pirates band knelt or didn’t play their instruments during the national anthem, they were met with loud boos from the crowd.
East Carolina University, in a refreshing move, swiftly issued a statement assuring donors, parents and students that it won’t happen again.
“protests of this nature by the Marching Pirates will not be tolerated moving forward”
Of course some are treating East Carolina’s position as a betrayal of the students, East Carolina University sells out, but ESPN Fayetteville is protesting the protest by announcing that it will not air this weekend’s East Carolina game against South Florida.
This whole BLM Kaepernick thing is truly out of hand, and I am very glad to see people and institutions beginning to stand up to this BS. But, there is collateral damage to innocents caught up in things they don’t support. For instance, if you follow this Blaze link and watch the video (it’s short), at the end you can see one female clarinet player, who did not kneel, wipe away tears as her band, because of the actions of a few, is booed by the crowd. And those tears put the shame to Kaepernick and all the lemmings following him. Shame on him, shame on them, and shame on those who fail to act to stop this crud. Yes NFL, that’s you.
