If not us, then who?
Think about the destrution you’ve seen wrought upon the foundational morality of our nation in just the past 20 years. Think of the evolution from a public policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” to current defense directives on accommodating transgender service-members; from tacit acceptance of alternate lifestyles to outright demand that we embrace every degenerate sexual depravity the human mind can come up with.
In addition to this front, we have normalized anti-social behavior, creating all manner of diagnoses to make allowances for any abominable behavior that in past times would have been called out as “bad behavior” and punished. We have a generation of young people who have no morality because they were taught that morality is subjective and un-necessary. Now, at every turn, this lack of objective morality rears it’s ugly head in our society, via television, movies, music, media, and more. It is so pervasive as to even encroach on the churches. Is it then any surprise that it pervades every pore of our government?
Our government & culture have been corrupted. For the longest time, I assumed that the moral degradation attendant to the decline of societies was a symptom of the decline; the cultural reflection of the corruption in government.
It seems now, that the decay of social norms may likely be a cause, or is at least co-incident with the decrease of public expectation of legitimate governance.
We have not only normalized the acceptance of mental illness, but we openly encourage and celebrate it. We are allowing an entire generation of our citizens to entertain questions of basic biology and celebrating their decisions to live in a world of make-believe. Objective reality no longer matters in western societies and that’s a problem that leads to catastrophic collapse of society.
We have been thus far unable to conserve our traditional values from the continuous onslaught by the left. The answer from the alt-right is to abandon any moral compunction one holds and begin using the tactics of the left to defeat them. I don’t like that approach. If we don’t stand up to the decay in our society, we are a party to it. Silence implies consent.
If I fail to stand and say what needs saying, what kind of man does that make me? This world is hurting our families, it’s hurting our children, and it’s destroying our culture. Taking up the weapons of those who have sought our destruction will preserve only the shell of what you’re trying to save. What does it profit us to gain to the world, if we have to sacrifice our soul to do so?
I believe that only God will (or can) save us, but for that to happen, people must turn to him. As humans are a rebellious lot, they will not willingly turn to him. There must be pain. Reluctantly, I welcome this pain. I would rather see the host die and force a dose of reality upon the people than to watch it whither dismally or have to become the cancer myself.
