(Before It's News)

rain-tax-mmm-sm_We’re three weeks before before Election Day and the only policy proposal that the Monmouth County Democratic candidates for County office have made is Surrogate candidate Vincent Solomeno’s pledge to blatantly break the law with regard to the access to death certificates.

Maybe that’s because they know if they reveal plans to impose a rain water tax on Monmouth County property owners, Lawless Matt Doherty and Sketchy Sue Fulton know that they would even lose in Democrat strongholds like Neptune Township and Long Branch.

That’s not a joke.  Goofy Vin Gopal is bringing former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley to Red Bank on November 2 for a get out the vote fundraising rally. Under O’Malley, Maryland passed a rain water tax that is imposed my Maryland counties.

Doherty has been bragging that he hasn’t raised property taxes in Belmar.  But he did raise beach fees and parking fees to plug holes in his municipal budget…a violation of the law and according to a NJ State Superior Court Judge, a civil rights violation.

Doherty has been saying on the stump that he will do anything short of getting in trouble with the law (as opposed to violating the law) to not raise property taxes.  If he can raise beach fees and parking fees, why not a rain water fee?  Belmar residents would not have had to pay any property taxes for years after Hurricane Sandy.
