“Muslim killer stabbed his care worker wife EIGHT TIMES because she looked after men,” By Charlie Bayliss, The Express, Oct 6, 2016:

A DEVOUT Muslim has been jailed after stabbing his wife to death because her job required her to look after men.Imran KhanPOLICE HANDOUT Imran Khan was jailed for life for murdering his wife

Imran Khan text his care worker wife a string of threatening messages before brutally murdering her as he claimed she was disobeying Islam.

The 38-year-old sent his Nasreen Khan vitriolic messages warning her that her position made him “angry”.

One of the text messages read: “If you go to men’s houses and lie to me I get angry. If you play games I get angry.”

Khan stabbed his wife eight times with a kitchen knife in the family home which they shared with their three children.

The killer’s family forced him to travel to Pakistan to marry Nasreen in 1999 but the pair had a rocky relationship.

The butcher was handed a life sentence after pleading guilty to murdering Nasreen.

Manchester Crown Court heard Khan told his wife “it’s not halal for you to work with men”.

The court heard some of the other messages the 38-year-old sent his wife, including: “I have told you 10 times there are three people whose prayers will not be accepted by Allah – a fleeing slave until he returns to his master, a woman whose husband is angry with her, until he is pleased with her, and a drunkard until he becomes conscious. If you don’t listen to me I get angry.”

Judge Patrick Field QC dismissed any allegations there was a “cultural clash” between the couple as Khan’s parents were supportive of Nasreen’s career.

He added: “Nasreen worked hard to support her family and was good at that job but by contrast you are a selfish and controlling man, did little to support your family and your wife, instead you sought to determine how she should live her life, expressing your disapproval of her choice of work.

“You did not want Nasreen to have contact with other men, even though they were her clients, and her duties involved no more than administering medication and warming their food.”
