Hoping in Professor Peabody’s Way back machine, we head back to the time of Bill Clinton’s impeachment proceedings. There we find Democrat Chicago attorney David Schippers. Shippers was hired by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Henry Hyde as the Chief Investigative Counsel to help prosecute the House committee’s case for impeachment against President Clinton. Daily Caller Article
Recently Sandy Rios of American Family Radio interviewed Shippers about how the evidence against Clinton was stored and studied by Congress at the time. David Shippers Interview
One of the most surprising things about the evidence against Bill Clinton is that it is still today being stored and is locked away from the public under executive session seal. I always assumed it was destroyed. But this revelation means that maybe one day the truth about Bill Clinton will out. (Dear Lord PLEASE!)
Shippers has many interesting things to say about his experiences with both House and Senate members. For instance, 65 House members actually saw the evidence against Clinton. Many said to Shippers, before viewing the evidence, that they were only looking at the evidence in deference to Henry Hyde, and had no intention in voting for impeachment. After viewing the evidence, they left with a different attitude, and in fact, 64 of the 65 voted to impeach.
Things in the Senate were very different. None, 0, nada, zippo, of the Senators came to view the evidence. And Senator Stevens, after being told that there was evidence that Clinton had committed a brutal rape (Juanita Broaddrick), made it clear that the fix was in with the Senate and that there would not under any circumstances be the 67 votes needed to overcome the Demoncrats’ filibuster and throw Clinton out of office:
“I don’t care if you could prove he raped a woman and stood up and shot her dead. You are not going to get 67 votes.”
Schippers explained, “Well I raise my hand which I was prone to do at various times and said, ‘Senator may I ask a question?’ And he said, ‘Yeah, what?’”
“I said, ‘Yesterday I saw 100 senators raise their right hand to God and swear to do equal and impartial justice. Are they going to ignore their vow too?’ And he said, ‘You’re right they are.’ And then I said, ‘Well the system doesn’t work.’ And that was that.
Mr. Shippers could not go into significant detail in his interview as all the evidence against Clinton was placed under executive session seal, but he did have a warning about Hillary Clinton.
“From our investigation, she was all over it. She was the one who was orchestrating all the attacks on the people that she called ‘the bimbos.’ ‘There was another bimbo eruption so let’s go and destroy them.’ I talked to every one of those ‘bimbos,’” Schippers said.
“And they were decent honorable good women. All of them were in some way threatened or attacked directly and I’ll tell you something. At one point someone said to me, ‘My God, how evil is that guy?’ and I said, ‘No, no he’s kind of a…boob. He just can’t control himself.” He added, “’But if you want to talk about real evil, it’s her.’ It was a terrible time. She was the one that did everything to destroy the women.”
There is more detail in the article and radio interview. This material is a great reminder as to just why we do not want the Clinton scum back in the White House. It is also a reminder as to how utterly corrupt the Senate is, and why the US Constitution’s 17th Amendment needs to go.
