Should taxpayer dollars be used for abortions? On the 9/30/16 episode of RT Network’s “The Big Picture,” one panelist suggested that abortion should be covered by the government through a single-payer system.

Horace Cooper, legal analyst at the National Center for Public Policy Research and the co-chair of Project 21, responded: “This is a lesson… of socializing any area or any industry in the government… It is far better, if people are really concerned about what dictates government makes, to privatize areas… so people are free to make their own choices.”

Responding to host Thom Hartmann’s snarky comeback, Horace said, “I haven’t been reading stories about people in the military who are ‘dying like dogs in the dirt’ because they’re not able to have access to a federally-funded abortion. This is mythology on your part…. I think we should do to the abortion industry generally what you guys want to do to Wal-Mart. We should marginalize them, we should push them to the edge of the community, and we should find every regulation that we can to put them out of business.”

Other topics covered in this clip include teen pregnancy rates and raising the minimum wage. Watch below.

They should not be federally funded, those against abortion on religious grounds should not be forced to pay for them.
On the other hand, true followers of Christ would not be for military, but they are forced to pay taxes that feed our incredible WMD programs and the huge war machine.
Abortions should not be controlled or inhibited by the government in any form.
Any way you look at it, abortion is a religious issue, and a basic constitutional element is that the federal government makes no laws governing religion.

Abortions should be legal as long as we are a secular government and not a caliphate ruled or a religious societhy, but citizens who are opposed to them should be able to opt out of paying taxes to pay for them.

Just as well, citizens should be able to declare a tax writeoff if they do not support a war or the military in general. If people want to support war, let them do so by putting their money up for it. Or not.

Perhaps if that were the case our government would not be imposing private behavior on people and would not be so eager to practice imperialism by meddling in the worlds affairs.

In other words, if someone wants to not see the population grow, let them help fund it.
If they want to make sure someone from another country doesn’t cross the border and take their job and their culture, let them agree to pay a tax to help protect our borders.
