Well, it’s about time and congratulations to this Texan.
Most of you know a while back a bunch of anthropogenic “climate change believers” headed by Jagadish Shukla, of George Mason University, wants DOJ Chief Loretta Lynch to prosecute us “climate change deniers” under RICO laws.
Now a gentleman named Leonid Goldstein of Lubbock, Texas is countering this bunch, filing his own lawsuit claiming RICO violations by at least 40 defendants because they’re alarming the public the sky is falling, the oceans are rising, the Arctic ice will cease to exist last year. Ha ha. And these groups benefit by getting billions of dollars in grants, public money and donations.
The primary defendant is Ceres, who advertises themselves as “mobilizing business leadership for a sustainable world.” From their website, Ceres claims at least $1 trillion a year for the next 36 years is needed to combat these non-rising oceans (sarc) and Arctic and Antarctic ice melting crisis which was supposed to have happened years ago.
Also on the list are some of my fav alarmists and envirowackos, but not wackos in how to bring in money. Sierra Club, Greenpeace, Ford Foundation, U.S. Climate Action Network, Friends of the Earth, Environmental Defense Fund, and more. The complete list of Goldstein’s named defendants are on his website.
The case is 5:16-cv-00211-C, Goldstein v. Climate Action Network et al. I called the U.S. District Court in Lubbock to verity the case does exist, and yes it does; but it’s off limits to those of us who don’t have a PACER account. Below is the first page, courtesy of WUWT (What’s UP With That).
Too bad no major news sources have run with this story, but that’s to be expected.
