Since the media only makes an issue of it when people of politically preferred pigmentation are shot, some have been convinced that it is because police go out hunting for blacks to murder. Actually, this is why police sometimes shoot unarmed citizens:

This not only clarifies what happened in Tulsa, it also helps explain why you should always comply with orders, move slowly, and keep your hands in view when pulled over by police. But it does nothing to help us understand why people are willing to serve as police officers in the current political environment.
