For many, “Gunsmoke” is that show on retro western TV.

For the older folks, it was their faithful companion every week.

For many others, it is an old show that they are getting to know thanks to syndication.

No matter how you were acquainted with “Gunsmoke”, the show is great.

The story is about Marshal Matt Dillon keeping the peace in the Dodge City, a crazy and often wild town in the West.   Dillon had a wonderful cast of characters to work with, from Kitty to Doc Adams to Chester Wesley Proudfoot.
