The Center for Immigration Studies reported that the number of immigrants, both legal and illegal, setting in America has risen by 40 percent since President Obama settled in to the White House in 2009.
In 2014 alone, 1.6 million immigrants came to the United States.
That’s according to the feds’ own data, as sifted by CIS.
And as Breitbart reported:
“[The data] also showed 914,000 immigrants in the first six months of 2015, putting the nation on track to accept almost 2 million immigrants in just one year.
“The almost 2 million 2015 migrants arrived as almost 4 million Americans were born, and as almost 4 million American graduates turned 18 and began looking for jobs in a sluggish economy. That’s roughly one new immigrant, legal and illegal, for every two Americans who began looking for a job in 2015.”
Demographics’ shift, anyone?
Here’s where it gets really outrageous.
Nearly nine percent of all the babies born in the country in 2013, which was around 300,000, came from mothers who were illegal immigrants. Those are the anchor babies that allow parents and family members a foothold in America.
As Breitbart noted, however:
“If those births are discounted, the likely 2015 inflow of migrants was very close to one immigrant for every two births to American parents.
“In 2014, the inflow of 1.6 million migrants added up to two new immigrants for every five births or every five new graduates.”
The impact of all this immigration is significant.
The inflow added about 50 percent of hopeful employees to the nation’s workforce. And while that’s great news for the retail sector, and for investors on Wall Street, it’s terrible news for the American citizen who’s seeing the suppression of real wages. It’s also terrible news for the unskilled work force, like teenagers, because it means fewer jobs and more competition.
And it’s terrible news for the state of the nation’s productivity.
Thanks a lot, Obama. But if Hillary Clinton is elected on November 8, Americans can only expect more of the same.
“During his tenure, Obama has sharply reduced border enforcement, reduced repatriations and has done little to deport foreign criminals.
“In 2013, Obama also worked with business groups and the established media for passage of an immigration bill that would have provided citizenship for 33 million migrants over 10 years, increased the inflow of refugees and allowed an unlimited number of foreign graduate students to get Green Cards each year. The so-called ‘Comprehensive Immigration Reform’ bill was blocked by public opposition.
“However, Hillary Clinton has promised to implement many of those measures if she’s elected — including the award of Green Cards to foreign professionals who enroll in U.S. graduate schools alongside young debt-burdened American graduates.”
This is what progressives want – a country without borders – because this is what progressives believe: America isn’t any greater than any other nation in the world.
In other words, in the mind of the progressive, there is no such thing as American exceptionalism. America is on par with other countries. So why the need to keep out those from other countries?
We’re all one and the same – all striving for the same things in live.
Except we’re not. America was the great experiment, forged by the belief individual rights come from God, not government – a vastly different system of governance than other nations that think political leaders are the ones who bestow rights and grant favors. And for that reason – that God, not government, is the granter of rights – America is superior.
But not in Obama’s mind, or the minds of his progressive political colleagues.
As Breitbart noted:
“Obama is a progressive, and so he believes that the U.S. government should offer U.S. civil rights — and citizenship — to foreign-born people, regardless of what Americans prefer. In November 2014, he argued that:
“‘Sometimes we get attached to our particular tribe, our particular race, our particular religion, and then we start treating other folks differently. And that, sometimes, has been a bottleneck to how we think about immigration. If you look at the history of immigration in this country, each successive wave, there have been periods where the folks who were already here suddenly say, ‘Well, I don’t want those folks’ — even though the only people who have the right to say that are some Native Americans.’”
The states that have seen the largest uptick in immigration betwee 2010 and 2015 include California, Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland and Virginia. Pennsylvania, Washington, Georgia, Minnesota and North Carolina also make the list.
The larger picture and bigger problem?
It’s true, the more open the borders, the less constitutional and limited government America becomes. But the more open the borders, the less safe America also becomes, because wanna-be terrorists and ISIS-tied jihadis will no doubt take a look at how easy it is to cross into the United States – cross.
