Surprise! What a shock to watch as the election was called on Nov 9 for Donald Trump. At the same time Trump slapped the smirk off Hillary Clinton and 50 million Liberals’ faces, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto was getting his slapped as well.
It’s laughable that not long ago Liberal rags like HuffPo claimed that Trump “wimped out,” when it came to discussing the wall with Nieto:
When he got the chance to talk to Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto on Wednesday, though, Trump said they didn’t discuss payment for the structure ― a claim Peña Nieto and his spokesman later disputed.
“Who pays for the wall, we didn’t discuss,” Trump told reporters after the meeting in Mexico City. “We did discuss the wall, we did not discuss payment of the wall. That’ll be for a later date.”
I wonder how they will report what Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto just did?
After Trump was elected, Nieto was one of the first world leaders to congratulate President-elect Trump. Moreover, Nieto seems ready to negotiate a new economic deal to prevent a trade war.
According to Breitbart,
Mexico has huge risk in a trade war with President Donald Trump and the United States. About 90 percent of U.S.-based fortune 500 companies now have made substantial investments in Mexico. According to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis’ report from 2012, U.S. multinational enterprises employed 1,106,700 people in Mexico, but Mexican companies only employ 68,800 in the United States.
Just so we are clear, if Trump puts enough pressure on American companies, we could bring back a net of 1,000,000 new jobs to the United States? That’s a nice start towards REAL employment, and not the current fraudulent version of Obama.
America’s trading relationship with Mexico is not equal, but a number of U.S. companies and their workers do benefit from NAFTA. Mexico is America’s second-largest export market, with $236 billion, or 15.7 percent, of all U.S. exports in 2015. That is up 468 percent since NAFTA was signed in 1993.
But NAFTA has been so remarkably successful that Mexico, with $400 billion in exports, is now the 12th largest export economy in the world. That has only been possible because 80 percent of Mexico’s exports go to the United States.
So for those doing the math, Mexico enjoys a $80 billion dollar trade imbalance in their favor with the U.S.
Only a Liberal moron would believe that America needs Mexico. Anything we get done in Mexico, we could have done elsewhere. We help them, because they are our neighbor, and we’d like to get along. However, Mexico has abused this privilege. They’ve attempted to influence our elections, and ruin our culture.
Those days are over. Which is why the Mexican president has change his tune.
