President-elect Trump is considering Newt Gingrich for Secretary of State.
Newt Gingrich said today that Trump will spend time on controlling the border, but getting a wall with Mexico paying for it was a great “campaign device” — Newt is a liability and not likeable. Newt folded to Bill Clinton. He’s too sensitive to media criticism. The Foreign Service would eat him for lunch. He’d be terrible. The world is vastly more dangerous after the foreign policy horrors of Obama/Hillary. Foreign policy is out of his wheelhouse.
We need great. This is an unprecedented moment in history to get it right.
John Bolton is a great statesman, brilliant and unmatched at defending America and her allies at the UN (especially Israel). Bolton is particularly deft at handling the Foreign Service. His record is unblemished and his tenure at the UN is unmatched in modern history. Anyone who was paying attention at the time remembers what a rock star he was at the UN and how intimidated the UN miscreants were of him.
As for Bob Corker, he gave President Obama the treaty power so that he could make that catastrophic Iran nuclear deal — the deal Trump campaigned against.

Dr. Nancy’s Two Cents
Hi, guys! You might remember me as the Cruzbot who later became a staunch Trump supporter. It was an easy choice. He became the nominee. As a conservative, he was on the right side of all my issues and true or not, he was genuinely closer to my stance than Hillary could ever be. It seems he came to understand the threat of radical Islamic terror.
I was blown away by the Idaho child rape case and felt the only person who could really make a difference in moving us from the wrong track to a possible better future was Trump. Truth to tell, I had nothing to contribute because Pamela said it all, and said it so well.
Now I have something to add. This victory has made me feel hopeful on all levels. I simply could not stop smiling as I realized the future could be bright. As I read the headlines, I saw the considerations for possible cabinet picks. Most were encouraging compared to what we’ve had, but I certainly wouldn’t want Corker for Secretary of State because he gave Obama the treaty power for the Iran deal. It was the “worst” as Trump has said.
However, I also think Newt could fail us. I don’t want my heart broken by him the way it was in the past. Newt basically surrendered to the clever Clinton oratory and persuasion, gazing upon him like a groupie and writing a book about lessons learned the hard way while people like me who believed in his vision and brilliance were tossed aside. The media were able to vilify him and cripple his loyal opposition.
I realized it’s about convictions that cannot be up-ended by media criticism, no matter how severe. That’s why I feel we shouldn’t pick Newt for Secretary of State. It’s too important, and despite his experience and brilliance and growth, yes I noticed, we need an unwavering, focused, tried and true talent like John Bolton. It’s just too late in the game to take a chance with someone who might fold under media pressure. There’s a lot to remedy in our effort to regain a strong position in the world, defeat ISIS, and reestablish ourselves as Israel’s ally. There’s no room for error. Trump should pick Bolton, and I have a say so because in his solicitations, he said he cares what I think and told me “you’re the best”. It’s funny, but Donald really did think his supporters were the best. I believe that so I’m confidently contributing my two cents.
