(Before It's News)

Mitchell Bard has an excellent piece in the Jerusalem Post about the biased teaching going on in Middle East Studies departments in American universities. He also describes the agenda of the Middle East Studies Association. In short, it is all about bashing the Jewish state of Israel.

In theory, there is nothing wrong with having departments devoted to the study of the Middle East and its history. In practice however, these departments are invariably staffed by people with a particular agenda, be it bashing Israel, bashing the West in general with their post-colonial emphasis, or glorifying the Muslim/Arab world at a time when there isn’t much to glorify.

What we need is education-not indoctrination.
