Trump distances himself from far right, continues to attack the media
New York – U.S. President-elect Donald Trump took steps Tuesday to distance himself from the far right in a wide-ranging interview, during which he spoke of climate change, denied any possible conflict of interest between his business and the presidency, and continued his attacks on the media. Ya know, sometimes you just can’t win.
You post a commentary using FOX News as your primary source of information and the LEFT says everything FOX has is racist, anti-Islamic, homophobic, misogynistic Trumpian Bull Shit and thusly, YOU are all of those things.
If you post a commentary using any other media outlet as your primary source of information the RIGHT says everything in the media is garbage and lies, you can’t believe ANY of it.
So, in all seriousness I ask; where do you get the stories you use as the basis for your commentary when you start getting comments like I received on this story when I posted it on Facebook, from a guy that I know and respect and know that he is as far on the RIGHT as I am?
The baiting continues. Media using the never trump movement to elicit a divide that can be exploited in the appointment fight that’s coming. Too bad some of the republicans will fall for it.
Where do you go for information when you start getting comments like that on your commentary on FOX News sources? For the love of all that’s right and holy, WHERE do we turn if NONE of the media is trustworthy?
Yesterday I posted this piece with MY commentary on a FOX News story, Trump will not pursue charges against Clinton, aide says right here on the blog, and comments have so far been civil but when I posted it a bit earlier on Facebook I used what was an almost identical story as my basis for commentary except I used the version that was put out by CNN.
OH MY FREAKING GAWD!!! You never heard, or, should I say, read such.
The person that took issue with my *source* is someone I consider to be an online friend, we don’t really know each other, we’ve never met in person, but I honestly like the guy and respect his opinion, but when he told me what he did about using CNN as a source and how they lied and couldn’t be believed I had a horrendous flashback.
So, I related a story to him from a few years ago when I was just getting into blogging.
There was an old bat named Gayle, that grabbed a grumpy tiger by the tail, no, I’m not going to write tacky poetry, but seriously, Gayle considered herself to be the Queen Freaking Mother of all things connected to blogging and she, by God, didn’t hesitate to let you know that she was a lot more well educated and could use her ability to write as if she were a Goddess, capable of filling the page with Unicorn farts and rainbows, glitter and all.
Well, with me being me it didn’t take too long before I had had more than I could stand, the straw that broke the camel’s back came the afternoon she told me that if I wanted to be a successful blogger I had better use nothing other than FOX News as a source for commentary and that if I didn’t SHE was going to make damned sure that my blog was a total failure and soon would be off to the land of wherever the hell failed blogs go.
I told her to *pound sand*, well, I may have been a bit more graphic but you get the idea, and advised her that HER presence was no longer allowed on MY site and that she could take her huffy-assed opinions elsewhere.
For what it’s worth; she hasn’t blogged in a very long while now, but she did put out some *Drama Queen* crap about how blogging was too rough for a gentile Lady such as herself.
I am VERY serious in this, I do NOT embellish.
So, here’s where I am on this piece; ALL mainstream media outlets are lying Douchebags and have no credibility what so ever, including FOX News as I now understand it, and that statement is not too wrong in my opinion, the MSM is trash.
All is NOT lost though; as I told my friend on Facebook, good commentary can come from anywhere, far left, far right, middle of the road sources, anywhere, what YOU, as the person writing the commentary have to do is glean the GOOD stuff from a story, discern what is REAL, what is FAKE, what is BS and what is purely hysterical, and then you use the GOOD stuff, and there is always some GOOD stuff, you just have to look for it.
Ron and Rob, I know you’ll read this, I respect BOTH of you, Rob, you’re a great and long-time friend, and you guys inspired me to write this. It’s something that needed to be said, so many people think it’s easy to sit down and write a blog … well, it’s not, not if you’re going for quality and truth, and especially if you actually write, not just copy and paste other people stuff like some certain faux Conservative professors in Long Beach do.
