ACLU Forces Small Town to Remove Cross From Christmas Tree

Tyranny in America has reached the point that a small town cannot place a cross atop a Christmas tree without anti-Christian thugs forcing its removal:

The ACLU has sued Knightstown, Indiana, over its Christmas display, which features a lighted cross on top of the town Christmas tree.

The Founding Fathers gave us weapons to fight tyranny, but they couldn’t make us fight with them. They gave us the First Amendment to help us defend religious liberty and freedom of speech, but they could not prevent tyrants from snatching this weapon out of our hands and turning it against us by twisting it into a tool to repress religious freedom instead of defending it.

The suit was filed on behalf of Joseph Tompkins against the town of about 2,200. Tompkins alleges the display violates the separation of church and state and said in court documents he “is forced to come into direct and unwelcome contact” with the religious display each day he drives through town, Fox59 reported.

A cross atop a Christmas tree is Christian and therefore forbidden. But the cross only serves to remind us that the Christmas tree is a CHRIST-mas tree. Banning the cross only makes sense as a first step toward banning Christmas entirely, since both represent the same thing.

Fox59 was unable to find any Knightstown residents who agreed with Tompkins, including his relative Mark Tompkins.

It only takes one P.C. Grinch to call in the ACLU flying monkeys and spoil it for everyone.

“A couple weeks ago they had a crowd here,” Mark Tompkins told the station. “Everybody was here. Everybody was fine with it. But now you’ve got one person, you know, out of everybody. There’s a church on every corner. Is he offended by all the crosses?”

No doubt he is. Those crosses will come down in time, if the Culture War keeps going like this:

This statement was just released by the Knightstown Town Council:

It is with regret and sadness that the Knightstown Town Council has had the cross removed from the Christmas tree on the town square and is expected to approve a resolution at the next council meeting stating they will not return the cross to the tree. We could not win the court case brought by the ACLU. We would have been required to pay the legal fees of the ACLU lawyer and monetary damage to the plaintiff, Mr. Joseph Tompkins, as set by the Court. This is our statement based on advice from our legal counsel.

If we let these people take our own culture away from us, it may never be restored.
