Stranger assaulted woman after she opened the door to him

COPS have released an e-fit of a suspect in horrific sex attack during which a mum was assaulted by a stranger in her home while her young children listened to her scream.

The horrifying assault took place in Stockport after the mum answered her door to a stranger.

Cops have released an e-fit of a man they want to speak to about a sex attack in Manchester

Detectives are now hunting the attacker after he pounced on the terrified woman in her hallway late on Tuesday December 20.

The mum, who is in her 30s, was in bed with her two children when she heard repeated knocking on her door at about 10.30pm.

After answering the door, an unknown man grabbed her by the throat and pushed her to the floor.
