A MURDERER who had been convicted of beheading a Dutch woman was allowed into Britain without any security checks – where he attacked two police officers with a hammer.

Afghan-born Jamshid Piruz didn’t face a single security check when he arrived in Britain, despite being handed a 12-year prison sentence for killing his female tenant after watching a Taliban beheading video.

Piruz, 34, is set to be sentenced on Friday after he plead guilty to a horrific hammer attack on two Sussex Police officers on January 7 last year.
PC Jessica Chick and PC Stewart Young were the victims of the horrendous assault, with PC Young being taken to hospital with head injures.

Piruz had only been in Britain a few days when he carried out the attack as the officers investigated a burglary in Crawley West Sussex.

This wasn’t even his first assault since arriving on British soil – the jobless convict had assaulted a staff member at Gatwick airport just days before.

The Home Office has faced heavy criticism following the attack, with MPs condemning the appalling lack of checks on criminals arriving from the EU.

Under EU law, European countries are not obliged to tell UK officials about convictions of murderers or sex offenders which allows them to come to Britain without any difficulties.
