During the election we shared a story about how Michael Kerekas was getting paid by now Clay County School Superintendent, Addison Davis’ campaign and his name came up on the school board agenda for this evening after Davis appointed him to be the Coordinator of Strategic Planning and Community Partnership.
I have had a lot of Clay County citizens and elected officials reach out to me and voice their concern about the appointment. It was alleged Davis wanted money to add more personnel and the school board members told him if he appointed Kerekas they would honor his request.
It has also came to light Davis is having private meetings before the school board meetings at a different location which if true is very familiar to Duval’s shady ways.
If you would like to attend tonight’s school meeting it will be held at the Teacher Inservice Center – Fleming Island High School, 2233 Village Square Parkway at 6:00 p.m.
In addition to going in person, per the Clay County School Board website you can also watch the meeting online:
All School Board Meetings can be viewed live on Comcast Channel 260 or via streaming on the Internet. Beginning in December 2016, all meetings will be streamed live via YouTube. The video archives of past Board meetings (May 2011 – November 2016) can be viewed on EduVision or our YouTube Channel (November 2016 – Present).
