Temporary Halt of Muslim Refugees Signed by President Trump

Prohibiting certain persons from immigrating into the United States is not racist or insensitive.  It is a move designed to protect the receiving population.  That said, in truth, however, the executive order by Trump to curb the influx of Muslim migrants/refugees is technically unconstitutional, not because of the nature of the executive order in the sense of what the Democrats will scream, but because any prohibitions regarding immigration is a congressional matter, and must be put into place from a constitutional point of view by the legislature.  Article I, Section 9, U.S. Constitution.

The prohibition itself, however, is fine.  I am in support of putting it into place, though from a legal standpoint it needs to be performed legislatively.  During World War II we had limits and prohibitions regarding persons coming from the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, and Japan) not because we were trying to be racist or insensitive, but because we simply could not tell the difference between the folks who truly wanted to come to America to be Americans, and those who desired to come here to cause harm as a part of the war effort.

The reality is, Islam teaches jihad, and death to the infidel.  Islamic terrorism is being performed with the blessing of Muslims worldwide, and is being funded largely by the leadership of a number of Muslim countries like Iran and Saudi Arabia.  Therefore, for the sake of national security, it is necessary to take action regarding the import of migrants from countries who are state sponsors of terrorism.

President Trump signed an executive order to keep “radical Islamic terrorists” out of the U.S., using the executive action to halt immigration from a list of Muslim countries he considers to be state sponsors of terror or have known extremism elements such as ISIS or al-Qaeda.  The ban includes persons from Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Libya and Sudan.

I’m establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America. We don’t want them here. We want to ensure that we are not admitting into our country the very threats our soldiers are fighting overseas. We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people. We will never forget the lessons of 9/11 nor the heroes who lost at the Pentagon. They were the best of us. We will honor them not only with our words, but with our actions, and that’s what we’re doing today.

I am privileged to be here with you and I promise that our administration will always have your back. We will always be with you. And I just want to thank you very much.

The move, of course, has the liberal left in a massive fit.  The Democrats claim the move is racist, and that immigration should not be determined by someone’s religion.

Islam is not a religion, it is a political ideology that masks as a religion, and a part of the Muslim belief system is sharia law, a legal system believed to be superior to the Constitution, and so it is believed sharia law should supersede the U.S. Constitution.  This constitutes a situation where the followers of Islam are active participants in an effort to overthrow the Constitution to replace it with their own Muslim law.  This kind of thinking means that they wish to overthrow our government, and Muslims coming into the United States supporting such should be considered an invasion and foreign intrusion against our system of liberty which cannot, and should not, be tolerated, and should be considered an act of war.
