Trump's Secretary of State pick: China should be denied access to islands it has built in the South China Sea.
Reuters reports on the Tillerson hearings today.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of state set a course for a potentially serious confrontation with Beijing on Wednesday, saying China should be denied access to islands it has built in the contested South China Sea.
In comments expected to enrage Beijing, Rex Tillerson told his confirmation hearing before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee that China’s building of islands and putting military assets on those islands was “akin to Russia’s taking Crimea” from Ukraine.
Asked whether he supported a more aggressive posture toward China, he said: “We’re going to have to send China a clear signal that, first, the island-building stops and, second, your access to those islands also is not going to be allowed.”

I disagree with Tillerson. With his attitude we will be at war. He continues the lies about Russia being the aggressor regarding Ukraine when it was Soros and Obama. There is not one thing wrong with those islands in the South China Sea. In fact I wish there were some more islands right in the middle between China and California. It is a 16 hour flight from LA to Hong Kong….a miserable loooonnnnggggg flight. Wouldn’t it be nice if we all got along and the damn planes could land there for a couple of hours before taking off again. I hated that flight and wanted to scream. I wanted off that plane after 8 hours. If ever again I will go via Europe. At least you can have landing sites along the way. Yes I realize the man made China islands are military but if all these idiots got rid of their egos it could also be for regular folks.
