Within the lifetimes of many reading this, Detroit was known as the Paris of the Midwest, and had the highest per capita income in the country. Then came Coleman Young and moonbattery. Now it may not be worth it to keep the rotting husk of the city alive. An employee of the utility DTE Energy found out what you get for trying:

So what did this armed robber get for all his efforts? $2.

Decades of leftist rule have left little to steal. But then, in Detroit you can buy a house for half of that.

At this point, a nuclear strike on Detroit would be a mercy. It would only be a matter of decades before we could rebuild.
