Democrats Say White House Infiltrated By White Supremacist

The Trump White House caused another media stir last week when it put out a statement for Holocaust Remembrance Day and failed to specifically mention Jews.

Democrats were quick to pounce, calling Trump and his advisors nothing less that racist white supremacists.

The Trump administration responded to critics by saying that their statement was a broad and  “inclusive” of all individuals who perished in Nazi Germany’s Holocaust.

It is important to remember that in the Holocaust, many other races and religious groups, including Jews, were persecuted and executed.

In total, six million Jews and some five million Slavs, Poles, Roma, disabled, Jehovah’s Witnesses, homosexuals, and political and religious dissidents

The Holocaust was not just a Jewish tragedy.

Here is the White House statement in question:

“It is with a heavy heart and somber mind that we remember and honor the victims, survivors, heroes of the Holocaust. It is impossible to fully fathom the depravity and horror inflicted on innocent people by Nazi terror.

“Yet, we know that in the darkest hours of humanity, light shines the brightest. As we remember those who died, we are deeply grateful to those who risked their lives to save the innocent.

“In the name of the perished, I pledge to do everything in my power throughout my Presidency, and my life, to ensure that the forces of evil never again defeat the powers of good. Together, we will make love and tolerance prevalent throughout the world.”

Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) is one of those Democrats saying that there is a white supremacist in the White House.

Wasserman Schultz doesn’t call President Trump a racist, rather his close political advisor Steve Bannon, accusing him of approving the “purposeful omission” of Jews from the statement.

Here is what Wasserman Schultz emailed her supporters and constituents:

This was a purposeful omission approved by a president whose closest adviser made exactly the same kind of nods to xenophobia, anti-semitism, and conspiracy theories at Breitbart News.

Nancy Pelosi is right. Bannon is a white supremacist who is making our country less safe.

His influence on this administration is only increasing. President Trump put Bannon on the National Security Council, which is unprecedented since Bannon is a political advisor, not an intelligence or military official.

In addition to scrubbing Holocaust Remembrance Day of any reference to why it occurred and who was victimized, on the same day, the Trump administration issued a travel ban targeting Muslim countries and Syrian refugees.

I believe Bannon’s influence on President Trump’s administration has given rise to a troubling amount of religious discrimination. My Jewish grandparents fled religious persecution in Eastern Europe to settle in the U.S. Now our country is minimizing historical references to religious persecution and denying entry to those seeking refuge right now.

For the sake of our service men and women and the safety of all citizens, we can’t have politics clouding the judgment of the National Security Council. But with Steve Bannon on the council and the role of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Director of National Intelligence greatly diminished — they would.

Bannon is a white supremacist and he must go. Our measure would kick Bannon off the council. Add your name to support it.

There you have it. Wasserman Schultz is saying that Trump put a white supremacist in the White House, and condones his racist views. In other words, ‘DWS’ is calling Trump a racist for hiring and allowing a alleged white supremacist to influence foreign and domestic policy.
