% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

(Before It's News) Leftist will put this one in the “win” column, as Labor secretary nominee Andrew Puzder has withdrawn from consideration.

As FOX News reported,

Andrew Puzder, chief executive officer of CKE Restaurants InHe [Pudzer] said in a statement Wednesday afternoon:

“After careful consideration and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my nomination for Secretary of Labor. I am honored to have been considered by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Labor and put America’s workers and businesses back on a path to sustainable prosperity…want thank President Trump for his nomination. I also thank my family and my many supporters-employees, businesses, friends and people who have voiced their praise and hopeful optimism for the policies and new thinking I would have brought to America as Secretary of Labor. While I won’t be serving in the administration, I fully support the President and his highly qualified team.”

So Pudzer says, “I would have been great, but I’m not playing?”

As the saying goes, the optics of this is not good. The Puzder Bailout {sure, let’s give it a name} comes on the heels of Trump’s national security adviser Michael Flynn resigning earlier this week.

Nevertheless, Trump remains 100 percent when it comes to getting his cabinet appointments. We know that several of Trump’s Cabinet nominees have faced tight votes in the Senate — with Vice President Pence even being called to break a tie earlier this month. However up to this point nobody had yet withdrawn from consideration.

The Heat Is On

In recent days, Puzder’s high-profile divorce included allegations of abuse from his ex-wife. This usually happens when the “aggrieved” angles for a fat settlement. As it turns out, his ex-wife later retracted her allegations.

Then, she told Fox News in a statement that her “privacy has been invaded,” as she lashed out at the media and critics of her former husband.

See; told you!

pudzer-with-trumpBut there was a bigger problem. The Pudzer family had hired an illegal as their housekeeper.

Pudzer could have been the president of Enron and made it, if it weren’t for that meddling Mexican maid!

Nevertheless, having learned from the very flawed Trump, Republicans seemed to accept Pudzer’s flaws.

The article continues:

Despite the growing public resistance to Puzder, White House officials and top Republican leaders said they supported him and were confident he’d be confirmed.

“I’m a strong supporter of Andy Puzder. I think he’s uniquely qualified for this job,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Tuesday.

Leftists of course were less forgiving.

“I’m glad Puzder will withdraw,” Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “Given his relationship to his employees, he wasn’t fit to lead a department responsible for defending workers.”

Spoken like a man who’s never made a payroll, and became a first-class sellout.

Former Labor Secretary Tom Perez also weighed in on Twitter. Perez tweeted that  Puzder is “unfit to be in charge of protecting workers…We need someone with moral authority.”

Like Hillary Clinton?

As with most Trump appointees, Puzder had no prior public service experience, which would have been unusual for modern times. Let’s hope President Trump nominates another non-politico, and hope this one has American housekeepers.
