Following the election of President Donald Trump, some people on the ideological left have become utterly incapable of figuring out how to appropriately adjust and deal with the reality of the world around them now.
Case in point is the hateful and violence-inciting rhetoric spewed forth by angry progressives against Trump and his supporters, particularly by supposedly educated and open-minded people in academia, such as St. Joseph’s University communications studies chairman and professor David Parry.
According to The Daily Caller, Parry was caught on tape ranting spitefully against Trump’s voters while dramatically intoning, “People are going to die because of what happened.”
“As someone who fights for liberal values, I am not sympathetic to the white voters who make over $50,000 a year and said that ‘we are going to vote for Trump,’” Parry stated. “Those people I am not sympathetic to, and I do not believe that you have to open your heart to them. If you are a person of color in this room, if you are a woman in this room, you do not have to open your heart to them.”
Watters first interviewed several students on the university campus, and virtually all of them disagreed with the gist of Parry’s remarks. Parry doesn’t represent the school, they said, and his remarks were more emotion-based than fact-based, meant to advance his own political agenda.
