President Donald J. Trump condemned anti-Semitism, including the slew of bomb threats phoned in to Jewish community centers. “Anti-Semitism is horrible, and it’s going stop and it has to stop,”
“The anti-Semitic threats targeting our Jewish community and community centers are horrible and are painful, and a very sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil,” the president said.
The perpetrators of the threats remain unknown, but a certain quality of trolling has been attributed to them. Meanwhile Democrat officials appeared on stage with Farrakhan as he denounced the Jews.
A Michigan state senator and the president of the Detroit City Council attended the annual convention of the Nation of Islam, a black supremacist group headed by notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan, who once called Hitler a “very great man,” railed against Jews and called for a separate black nation in his speech at the convention on Sunday.
State Sen. Bert Johnson and Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones were among those on stage with Farrakhan during his speech, according to the Detroit Free Press. Jones served as a delegate for Hillary Clinton at the Democratic National Convention.
Meanwhile former Nation of Islam member Keith X. Ellison, who has a long history of anti-Semitism, remains the leading candidate to head the DNC. Despite his own history of anti-Semitism.
The Minnesota Daily opinion editor, Michael Olenick, described Ellison’s writing as “a genuine threat to the long-term safety and well-being of the Jewish people, a threat that history dictates must not be ignored.”
“Time and time again my people have been slaughtered after the words of Hakim (Ellison) and those like him influenced the masses,” Olenick writes.
When will Democrats finally distance themselves from the anti-Semitism of the Nation of Islam? That’s a good question considering the Farrakhan connections of everyone from Obama to Ellison.
The Democrats are becoming the Nation of Islam party.
