Republicans Fear For Their Safety; Their Families

This segways nicely into a stern warning I feel the need to issue to you, my friends.

House Republicans during a closed-door meeting Tuesday discussed how to protect themselves and their staffs from protesters storming town halls and offices in opposition to repealing Obamacare, sources in the room told Politico.

House GOP Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers invited Rep. David Reichert, a former county sheriff, to present lawmakers with protective measures they should have in place. Among the suggestions: having a physical exit strategy at town halls, or a backdoor in congressional offices to slip out of, in case demonstrations turn violent; having local police monitor town halls; replacing any glass office-door entrances with heavy doors and deadbolts; and setting up intercoms to ensure those entering congressional offices are there for appointments, not to cause chaos.

“The message was: One, be careful for security purposes. Watch your back. And two, be receptive. Honor the First Amendment, engage, be friendly, be nice,” said Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker (R-N.C.). “Because it is toxic out there right now. Even some of the guys who have been around here a lot longer than I have, have never seen it to this level.”

He later added: “For those of us who have children in grade school and that kind of thing, there’s a factor in all of this, saying: How far will the progressive movement go to try to intimidate us?”

If you think that an actual war with progressives in this country is a fantasy, you are mistaken. If you think an actual war with progressives would be a rout, you are delusional. Think about this:

We are heavily armed, better trained, and much more patient than the left. These people are taking rubber bullets and bean bags to face, just to get a shot at a cop. They’re destroying and burning, and smashing people in the head with bricks, because they don’t like that a republican was elected President.

Let. That. Sink. In.

These animals are perfectly willing to kill people because they didn’t get their way. Do you honestly believe that they will hesitate murder you and your family when someone starts arming them? They have no moral code preventing them from harming anything or anyone to get their way. They answer to no god, no law. They are useful idiots, sure, but the key inference there is “useful”. They can be manipulated into causing unimaginable horror, and we can’t be bothered to get off the couch.

Seattle has gone bat-shit crazy. I now carry a gun absolutely everywhere. Every single time I leave my house, for any reason, I am armed. In my home, I have a pistol, shotgun, or rifle, no more than 10 steps from where I am. People are being attacked, kids, women, they don’t give a shit. You may not be at war with progressives, but they have a vote, and they are certainly at war with you. How long until they use their 2nd Amendment rights to come for you?

Stay armed. Stay alert. If you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, don’t hesitate.
