How would you repeal Obamacare?

Let’s pretend you are Congress. You are the sum total of all 535 members. You can do what you want.

There is a new president. He has campaigned on repealing Obamacare. It is now a virtual mandate. The president has, for all practical purposes, staked the success of his presidency on the repeal.

That isn’t all he has done. He has promised to repeal and replace Obamacare. The replacement, he has said, will be far better than Obamacare. It will be wonderful, tremendous, everybody will agree.

He has given guidance in making it spectacular.

He has said the replacement will continue to cover everyone, even those with pre-existing conditions. If you don’t have health insurance and break your leg, you can get it and have that break covered. This will require serious government intervention. Without it, insurance companies will go bankrupt as healthy people pay nothing until they become unhealthy.

He has also said that it will reduce health care costs both in the aggregate and for individuals.

He has said nobody will be financially worse off under the new system.

He has said that if individuals cannot afford to buy insurance, the government will pay for them.

Since any bill you pass will require the president’s signature to become law, what will you do to repeal Obamacare and ensure the president keeps his campaign promises?

Now imagine, like the current Congress, you can only pass bills dealing with budget issues and nothing else. How would that change your plan?

First thing is drop the mandate that forces the victim to go to the criminals. Second, deal with the criminal fraud within healthcare starting with poisonous vaccine fraud. Absolutely nobody but the most gullible of sheep trusts doctors and hospitals anymore.
In 1965 my sister broke her arm. It was put in a cast within hours and two months later she was out climbing trees again. Total bill? $58. In modern times that same break would require a $40,000 major surgery with screws and pins and her arm would never be the same again. Get that fraud OUT before we worry about how we pay for it.
